This is a podcast I’ve started mostly for family and friends. As we get older, distance can be created and this could be a way to stay in touch and keep them updated on my life. I got the idea or was inspired by my brother's podcast "Jeremy says” shout out to him! So this will be a place where I can talk about life, share my perspective, and hopefully open the door for more conversations. I hope not to offend anyone, but I also want to create new connections for anyone who chooses to listen. So, it's called "Listen to Rosie" (The Podcast) This will be a verbalized version of my blog that I am working on slowly but surely. To be clear, "Listen to Rosie" isn’t about saying that you should listen to me and that I know everything, No, that's not it at all. I still feel new to everything! But it's just a little spot where you can come listen, and I hope  it will be a cozy place for both of us. Right now, I'm sitting in my room with a candle, drinking my tea, and just vibing.

I want to explain where the name "Listen to Rosie" came from. It originated in my childhood. My sisters and I used to make videos for fun, like kids do, and some of those videos (though not many) were called "Listen to Rosie." In those, I pretended to be a game show host. I remember playing cards and creating this wheel to spin for prizes. It was fun! When I wanted to start this podcast, I wanted to recapture that joy of recording just like we did when we were kids, that's why I chose the name "Listen to Rosie."

So, what kind of content will there be?

As I mentioned, it will mostly be a verbalized version of my blog topics I find interesting and passion projects that I would love to discuss with others. Don’t be afraid to come up and talk to me about these things; I want it to be a way to foster more conversations. Of course, I’ll also do vlogs and share those on my channel, so feel free to check those out too.

So who is Rosie?

Let’s be honest I’m still figuring it out and I know things can change over so let’s think about this for a moment..

What is identity?

Identity involves external characteristics which a person has little or no control, such as height, race, or socioeconomic class. It also encompasses political opinions, moral attitudes, and religious beliefs, all of which guide the choices a person makes daily. Self-identity is a concept in psychology and sociology, referring to the identity individuals form about themselves. This is influenced by various factors, such as self-esteem, social identity, and the roles one plays in society. Someone's ego reflects their sense of self-worth. Some food for thought.

So my identity involves so many factors and ones that change over time. But here’s what I know so far that will help you get an idea of who Rosie is. Rosie is my nickname. I am 24, I am Latina, and I grew up in a big family. I grew up in a secluded area near the mountains, which made for a pretty fun childhood. I also grew up Mormon, but now it is something I no longer believe in. I am a Pisces, I enjoy things like arts and crafts, traveling, journaling, music, reading, food, and baking. I love all things like cottagecore, fantasy, herbalism, royal core, and aesthetics in general. Of course there's always more to learn about a person but that’s what I feel like sharing for now. And yeah, if you like these things too, I hope you'll stick around and we can learn new things together.

So that is what my Podcast/blog is all about. I hope it's going to be fun for both of us. Feel free to leave any questions or suggest topics for future content. I'm open to discussing a wide range of subjects, from environmental issues to science and astrology etc. I hope to make this a regular thing. However, life is busy, so bear with me.

I know I rambled a bit, but I'm excited about this project and look forward to sharing more adventures with you all. Whether it's night, morning, or day where you are, I hope you find peace in your day. If not, we can learn together.

Thank you for listening or reading, and I hope to see you in the next episode. Bye!
