"Hello, hello, hi, Oh my gosh, it's so exciting, Brave chimes in, finally free, from the clutches of Fear and Perfectionist's decree
It's a brand new day, a brand new way, What do you want to do? Oh, I have ideas too!
We can sing until we lose our voice, Nobody's home, so why not rejoice?
Or we can go on a walk, say hi to the folks, and maybe invite a friend if their schedule is clear. Let’s practice vlogging outside, catch some glances, Post it all, and capture life's little dances.
Let's dress up fancy, and do your makeup bright, Is it cold outside? We'll still delight. Fashion rules don't matter, we'll defy them too, With me by your side, there's nothing we can't do.
Or here’s an idea! Let's jump in the water, and feel that icy thrill! You know I love to chat, to laugh, to play, interacting with people, lighting up the day. At the park, we'll laugh and twirl, spreading joy, enchanting the world.
Ooo and then let’s go to the store, we'll gather our treats, From sugary sweets to savory eats. Delighting in flavors, from snacks to spice, for us, every meal is a slice of paradise.
Don't worry, I'll help you stand your ground, speak your truth, let your voice resound. We’ll let people know when they hurt your soul, with courage and strength, you'll take control.
We’ll say no when peace is what you seek, be bold! Not afraid to speak. Hey It's okay to love deeply and share your passions, I know you want express yourself fully in all your fashions.
Let’s face your fears, tackle the tough, In life's challenges, you are enough. With strength to fight and courage to strive, I'll make you strong, keep you alive.
At night, I’ll have us dream of grand plans, no worries of money, life's in our hands. Every step, every act, filled with fun, for us, the adventure has just begun.
Every moment's an adventure, every day a spree, for us, life's a party, just wait and see. Brave takes my hand, eager and proud, Leading me to freedom, where we're finally unbowed."
I wrote this poem when my therapist asked me what the brave voice inside of me would say. I don't regular write poems but this way felt easier for me to express, I feel the brave voice in me has a childlike wonder but wants to be strong too.
