Welcome to my zodiac-signs series where I'm going to do a simple research each sign just to gain more a an understanding of the Astrology world. I say simple because Astrology is a very deep complex topic which I love but it can be alot to absorb at once so I'm going to find general facts and share with you what I find :)
The first sign I want to start the series off with is well my own sun sign! Pisces! There is quite a few Pisces in my family, which I love. I feel like I do relate a lot to the Pisces personality, it's fun to read the astrology posts and be like yep that's totally me. So lets first drive into some of the facts about Pisces and then I'll talk about the traits of a Pisces.

Pisces Facts
Upon my research I discovered that Pisces is the last sign in the order of the Zodiac, which are numbered from the first day of spring. I personally wished my birthday was more of a spring day weather day but where I grew up it's still very snowy in March, welp it's spring somewhere in the world. Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac because it's said to have characteristics from all the other signs that come before it. Interesting….anyway bullet point facts!
12th Sign in zodiac
Date: February 19- March 20th
Symbol: two fish, funny thing I use to be terrified of fish because I was afraid they would eat me or bite me. But as I got older, I can see their beauty and interesting traits and honesty alittle jealous that they get to swim all day, but some are still creepy.
Element: Water Sign, which makes sense because I've always enjoy being in water whether its swimming or being in the rain. I find water absolutely fascinating, it's so powerful and destructive and yet also calm and healing.
Ruling Planet: Neptune and Jupiter. So, Pisces has not one, but TWO ruling planets! Neptune and Jupiter. At first, it might seem a bit odd, but it actually makes a lot of sense once I dug into it. Traditionally, Jupiter rules Pisces because it’s all about creativity, emotional depth, expansion, and growth. Jupiter brings faith, positivity, and optimism, guiding the higher self to its aspirations. Now, Neptune comes into the picture as the modern ruler of Pisces, thanks to its mythological backstory. According to the legend, Venus and her son, Cupid, were attacked by a giant sea monster while walking by the sea. Venus called on Zeus to transform them into fish so they could escape. They disguised themselves and swim to safety, and these fish became known as Pisces, immortalized in the stars. Since Neptune is the god of the sea, it makes sense that Pisces would be ruled by Neptune too—after all, the sea saved them, and it's where fish live, right? Neptune represents a universal connection with all beings, making Pisces super compassionate, imaginative, and idealistic. On the flip side, this influence can also lead to self-doubt or even self-sabotage. But hey, it’s all part of the Pisces.

Pisces Traits
Pisces are fascinating because they’re often swimming between reality and fantasy, just like the two fish that symbolize them. They sometimes can’t tell if they dreamt something or if it actually happened. Pisces people seem to embody the wisdom of a 55-year-old and the wonder of a 5-year-old all at once. They're excessively romantic and believe everything is a sign from the universe. RELATE.
Living in a world of deep emotions and psychology, Pisces absorb the energy around them, which makes them behave differently depending on who they're with. They are boundless and love spending time in solitude, but they also enjoy attention from their friends and family. Our tendency to sacrifice their own needs to care for others isn’t always healthy. Words like empathetic, mystical, romantic, people-pleasing, imaginative, and impressionable perfectly describe Pisces.
Pisces as friends
Pisces are the kind of friends who genuinely care and have your back. You can count on us to be there for you, even if their idea of loyalty is sending a text like, "I'm here for you," and then forgetting to check their phone. RELATE AGAIN. They always try to be attentive and help with problems, even if they might get a bit lost, confused, or show up late. Their warmth and compassion make people feel at ease.
Pisces often take on other people's issues as their own, which can be overwhelming. They fluctuate between being deeply intertwined in friendships and needing plenty of alone time. It's crucial for them to be with those who understand and respect their boundaries, even when they're not clearly defined, and help protect their valuable energy.
Pieces as a romantic partner
When it comes to romance, Pisces are the THEE hopeless romantics. In love, they are incredibly affectionate, generous, and passionate with their partners. They absolutely love helping others, which makes give-and-take essential in a relationship with them. However, in their quest for love, they might sometimes compromise their moral values.
For us Pisces to truly open up, they need a genuine connection with their partner. They seek an ideal love that brings them a sense of unwavering faith and tends to steer them away from change.
Pisces as a worker
As Pisces often find themselves getting lost in others, making creative work a vital grounding tool for them. Discovering outlets for their creativity is essential for their happiness. Ever the hopeful dreamers, Pisces are constantly looking to the future while acknowledging the past and moving forward.
These intuitive and dreamy individuals thrive in roles that utilize their creative talents or allow them to work toward a higher cause, such as through charity events. Jobs that require compassion, faith, and devotion suit Pisces well, making them excellent priests, doctors, veterinarians, musicians, and artists. They also enjoy roles where they can play different parts and keep their true identity under wraps.
For Pisces, money isn’t usually a top priority. They focus on their dreams and goals, striving to earn just enough to achieve them. Depending on the strength of their dreams and the sense of purpose they've developed, Pisces will spend whatever is necessary to pursue their goals.
